Wood sculptors 2025

Konstantin Evdokimov

Project: "Poisonous"
It is known that poison in small quantities can be useful. Sometimes what seems poisonous can give pleasure, and what seems harmless can kill you.

Iyke Okenyi

Project: "Receptionist"

The Receptionist is a work of art that is symbolic of a new world order. It is a dance that is a unifying factor for the nations of the world. In a world gripped by political turbulence, the Receptionist dances in the rhythms of freedom. In a world befuddled by social strife and religious intolerance, ba spot where economic developments are slowed globally by the interventions of the Invisible Hand, the Receptionist sways and welcomes the whole world.

Anna Mrzyglod

Project: "Blue Rabitt"

This sculpture tells the story of a little blue rabbit that accompanied my children throughout their entire childhood.
Three little boys grew up with it, and today they are grown men.
The rabbit stayed with me and now seems grown up too — faded and tired — because it holds so many memories, so many tears, and so much joy.
To me, it is the most precious thing I have kept from their nursery.

Suresh Lawat Tuladhar

Project: "Mayadevi strut"

This exquisite Mayadevi strut is a testament to the rich heritage of traditional Newari art and architecture in Nepal. Crafted by a master woodcarver, it embodies the essence of centuries-old craftsmanship and artistic expression. Drawing inspiration from the ancient temples and houses of the Newari community, the strut's design echoes the structural elements that have supported these architectural marvels for generations.

Šimon Chyla

Project: "The tentacle"

The tentacle as a means of expression that symbolizes the incredible power of the banking system. Human who takes out a mortgage from a bank becomes prey to an imaginary octopus. Even though the whole situation depicts a negative plot, its visual form is taken by the attractive, perfect animal octopus.

Rolf Blöchlinger

Project: "OSCAR"
…and the Oscar goes to…

It was time to give the well-known Oscar statue a new look and a new shape. Not surprisingly, the typical laughter of the cheerful Blöchlinger figures. What did you deserve an Oscar for?

Chrigel Bühler

Project: "Piaggio Ape 50"
The little brother of my Piaggio is to be conjured out of the trunk with a chainsaw and carving iron.

Lorena von Atzigen

Project: "Gio"

I dedicate this sculpture to a wonderful friend who will always be with me.

Léo Kambourian

Project: "Bergkönig Murmel"

Two carved marmots at the mountain peaks admire and watch over our beautiful Swiss Alps.

Lena Guggisberg & Anna von Bergen

Project: "Eifach scheen"

The houseleek, also known as the stone rose, is transformed into a wooden rose in our work — presented in a beautiful trio composition.

Mika Dellenbach

Project: "Düre Gotthard fahre Krokodil"

Under this title, I would like to create an unconventional sculpture for the symposium. The piece represents the legendary Gotthard locomotive, the "Ce 6/8 Crocodile." In summer, just like in Arthur Beul’s song, the horseflies fly over the Gotthard, while below, the Crocodile glides leisurely through the mountain.

Patrick Huber

Project: "Bärilyn Monroe"

Icon, global star, Bärilyn

Daniel Züsli

Projekt: "Holzofen"

A tiled room stove with carved doors and tiles – depending on the wood, it may also feature a fireplace. Wood is warm, yet it stirs in me the unsettling feeling that nostalgia might not be entirely misplaced. Carving requires time and resources – a cynical remark or a privilege? A place of peace, refuge, and comfort.

Corinne Véya

Projekt: "Le bouquet de fleurs"

This sculpture consists of three to four individual pieces and forms a bouquet of flowers made of wood.

Remo Meier & Janine Rogen

Project: "Citius, altius, fortius"

The utopia of endless growth has been – and unfortunately still is – preached. The consequences of this are already beginning to be felt. Everything is finite: raw materials, lifetime, land. Even the brightness of the sun will eventually fade. And despite being aware of this fact, we continue to chase the phantom of ever more, ever higher, faster, and above all, more, more, and even more. We all participate in one way or another.
